Jordan Buys cracks 8c.

Boreal are pleased to announce that U.K. based Jordan Buys has recently completed his first 8c sport route!

The route called True North is at Kilnsey crag in Yorkshire, England. First completed by Tony Mitchell in 1993 True North is positioned on the impressive leaning North Buttress and trends slightly rightwards to meet the top of Urgent Action 8a+ giving a super-pumpy 28m pitch. Kilnsey's North Buttress often suffers badly from seepage and Jordan took advantage of an unusually fine period of dry summer weather to complete the route in good conditions.

Jordan told Boreal that he has wanted to climb the route for ages and so was understandably super pleased with his ascent, especially as it didn't take him long to work the route. Later Jordan commented: “Now I feel a bit more of an all round climber having now done e9, french8c and font 8B......I could not have done it without the great shoes from you guys, thanks for the help.” Some of Jordan's earlier attempts on the route were captured on film by renowned cameraman Alastair Lee.
