STIAN CHRISTOPHERSEN Norwegian Boulder Champion. Since I have been working a lot this automn, I haven't had a chance to go on any trips. The Norwegian Championship therefore became a motivation to get stronger during the indoor season in Norway. And besides, I have never won the Nationals before, and wanted to bring the title home to Oslo for once. I felt really good in the qualification, and knew that the pressure was on for the finals. As it turned out, the boulders in the final was a bit easy, and you had to flash the first three to win. To be in the isolation, knowing this from the noice from the crowd was nervewrecking, but luckily I kept it together. As for the last problem, I just missed the lst hold on the flash, but as it turned out that it was enough to win, I called it a day and thanked the crowd for all the support during the finals. Even though it was a close race, I felt in control the whole day, and I'm really satisfied with accomplishing my goal for this season! Stian Christophersen |
