Nederlands Kampioenschap 2006. Zaterdag 14 oktober vond in klimhal Amsterdam Centraal het NK sportklimmen plaats. 15 dames en 16 heren streden om de titel Nederlands Kampioen. Van het Boreal team deden Ferdinand Schulte en Vera Zijlstra mee. Om je te kwalificeren voor de wedstrijd zijn er drie voorrondes geweest, de beste twee resultaten van deze wedstrijden telden mee voor de uitslag. Ferdinand ging

als 5e door naar het NK en Vera als 1e. Het NK zelf bestaat uit twee rondes; een halve finale en een finale. De beste acht in de halve finale gaan door naar de finales. Zowel Ferdinand Schulte als Vera Zijlstra zaten in de finale, ze gingen als respectievelijk 6e en 1e door. In deze finale (voor de mannen gewaardeerd als 8b en voor de vrouwen 7b+) werd Ferdinand uiteindelijk 7e en Vera werd de nieuwe Nederlandse Kampioen! Dutch Difficulty Championship 2006 On October 14th the Dutch difficulty climbing championship took place in the indoor climbing hal Amsterdam Central. The participants consisted of 15 ladies and 16 gentlemen fighting for the title Dutch Champion 2006. Boreal was represented by Ferdinand Schulte (men) and Vera Zijlstra (women). The competition consists of a half final and a final; the best 8 climbers of the half final will go through to the final round. Both Boreal climbers did pass the half final and entered the final placed at location 6th (Ferdinand) and 1st (Vera). In this final which was a challenging contest between the champion of 2005 (Rachel Nilwik) and Vera Zijlstra. But finally the end result was: Ferdinand 7th and Vera became the new Dutch Champion.
