Scott Cory in Guinnes Book Records 2008

In 2001 two days before the September 11th tragedies occurred. Scott was very upset by the fact that so many kids were left without parents. He wanted to raise some money for them, and the way he thought he could do it best was by climbing.

Scott became the youngest climber ever to scale El Capitan , completed the climb after 14 hours at about 6 p.m.

For this climb, Scott's listed as the Youngest Climber of El Capitan in the Guinness World Records 2008.
